Valve Demand "Dot Arena" Closed in China

Valve demands to the two gaming companies from China, Lilith Games and Longtu Game, regarding abuse of copyright now presents the latest news.

It is said, the creator of Dota 2 will require mobile games 刀 塔 传奇 (Dot Arena in Indonesia) for infringing on copyrights they have done with claims for compensation in the form of money of 5 million USD, accompanied by the closure of the game and also a formal apology from both companies over which to operate.

The main reason for this suit to court tossed by Valve is because of the game, 刀 塔 传奇, caught using existing content in Dota 2, and an exclusive right as the owner of the Valve game.

Responding to the demands of Valve, Longtugame as the publisher 刀 塔 传奇 in China said they would fight for their rights and follow the legal procedure as the next step. It seems the company is still unsure if they are not infringing copyright as demanded by Valve. 

In addition to China, 刀 塔 传奇 also been launched for several other regions and even very popular. Interestingly, the game is released under different titles, such as AllStar Heroes in Europe, Soul Clash in Japan, and Dotop Story in South Korea. (iDG)
